Premier Padel, FIP Tour and A1 Padel: A Bettor's Guide to the Tours

Padel has more than one professional circuit, and knowing which is which helps you read a matchup — and its odds — correctly. Here are the three you’ll see most.

Premier Padel

Premier Padel is the top professional tour, launched in 2022 with backing from the International Padel Federation (FIP) and Qatar Sports Investments. From 2024 it absorbed the former World Padel Tour, consolidating the best men’s and women’s pairs in one place. Its calendar is built around Majors (the biggest events) plus P1 and P2 tournaments. When you see the world’s top-ranked pairs, this is usually where they’re playing — and fields are deep, so favourites are rarely as safe as their price suggests.

Cupra FIP Tour

The FIP Tour (currently titled the Cupra FIP Tour) is the tier below — the developmental and challenger circuit run by the International Padel Federation. It’s where rising pairs earn ranking points and break through toward Premier Padel. Fields are more variable, which can mean more value and more upsets — useful to know if you’re betting favourites short.

A1 Padel

A1 Padel is a separate professional tour with its own roster of pairs. Because it runs independently of Premier Padel, its rankings and results aren’t directly comparable — so treat A1 form on its own terms rather than assuming it maps onto the Premier Padel pecking order.

Why the tour matters for betting

• Depth of field: Premier Padel favourites face stiffer competition than FIP Tour favourites at the same odds.
• Data availability: bigger events are priced by more bookmakers, so there’s more price competition — and more reason to compare odds.
• Form context: a pair dominating the FIP Tour isn’t automatically a match for top Premier Padel seeds.
