The simplest bet: which pair wins. There is no draw, so two outcomes cover everything, which also makes it the one market where you can always see a bookmaker’s margin cleanly — add the two implied probabilities together and whatever is over 100% is the book’s cut.

It is also the deepest market in padel. Every book that prices the sport at all prices this, so it is where comparison is worth most and where the gap between the best and worst available price is easiest to measure.

Set betting and correct score

A bet on the exact set score. Best-of-three means only four outcomes exist: 2-0 or 2-1 either way. That makes it a genuinely complete market — the four prices together describe every way the match can end — and prices are considerably longer than the match winner because you have to be right about the manner as well as the result.

It rewards a view the match-winner market cannot express: that a favourite will win but be taken to three, or that an underdog will either be swept aside or win outright.

Total games (over/under)

A bet on how many games the whole match lasts, both pairs combined. A 6-4 6-3 match is 19 games. Lines usually sit somewhere in the low twenties, and a tiebreak set counts as 13 games rather than by its points.

The golden point matters more here than anywhere else. Because a game tied at 40-40 is decided by a single point rather than a run of deuces, padel sets cannot be inflated the way tennis sets can, and the tail of very long matches is thinner than a tennis follower expects. A line that looks generous by tennis instincts usually is not.

Handicap

A games handicap levels an uneven match: back the favourite at −4.5 games and they must win by five or more across the match; back the underdog at +4.5 and they can lose by four and the bet still wins.

Whole-number lines can land exactly on the mark, and a bet that finishes level is a push — the stake comes back rather than being lost. That distinction matters more than it sounds, because grading a push as a loss quietly understates your real return over a season.

Outright and tournament winner

A bet on who lifts the trophy, placed before or during an event. Padel draws are small and top-heavy, so outright prices on the leading pairs are short and the value, where it exists, tends to sit on a pair with a favourable side of the draw.

They also tie your stake up for a week. Unlike the match markets, an outright cannot be compared against a settled result until the tournament ends.
